I have always loved music, but I think music became much more a part of me when my daughter starting playing the violin at age 6. Hearing her over the years (she is now 21!), our house was always filled with her beautiful music. Then she started giving lessons to young children and the music continued! This painting is a tribute to Ashley and the joy she brought our whole family with her lovely violin! I sponged acrylic paint on in layers to create a textured background. I then used vibrant acrylics to create this piece.
