Professional, Hearing impaired Artist, Aspiring Singer & Writer. Creator of the Unique Firefly painting series on Canvas. Accomplished, American Painter. Internationally Collected, you can find JD's work in private and corporate collections across the country, Europe, Australia and Canada. Published, award winning poet with several works circulating in private collections.

JD enjoys writing children's adventure novels, poetry, short stories and song lyrics. She has three professional demos out of Nashville, TN for Original Lyrics. JD creates family friendly art from her heart. Due to the onset of hereditary progressive hearing loss at age seventeen, she knew she wanted to talk to the world without needing to hear it. This led her on a journey to find a "true path" in life. As she lives for understanding of God's will, she creates worlds where dreams are achieved, visions are complete, and to hear is only to believe.

A word from the artist~~"I believe we should not get in such a hurry in life. There's always so much going on around us that we get caught up in the busy and hectic.

We should take the time to find what we love and live for humility.....No Regrets. I don't want to think to myself, I wish I would've accomplished this or that." I want to depart this world knowing I experienced all my heart desired.

When you look at my paintings, you are gazing through a window to my soul....Reaching out to the world in hopes to achieve the many dreams inside of me and share with you my vision, too.

I've enjoyed art most of my life. I remember, as a child, I loved to color, draw, paint, sing, dance, write. Anything that involved creating and expressing. When I started losing my hearing, as a senior in high school, and had to wear my first hearing aid, it changed my life. I lost all confidence and built a "wall" to keep anything and everything out. The fear became me, and I became lost and distracted within my own solitude, within my own soul. Maybe that's what eventually drew me to be an artist. For so long, not realizing the calling of my life, I chose to do other things as a pursuit of happiness. I went to college and studied Psychology for two years, but paused in that field of study to be a mom for my firstborn daughter. After some years of being a mommy in my early twenties, I decided not to finish pursuing the Psychology degree with Marshall University and later attended Cosmetology School/Beauty College and graduated with a Cosmetology degree. After state testing with the board of Barbers and Cosmetologists in Charleston WV, I was notified by the owner of the Beauty College I attended that I scored the highest on the test and so earned my Managing Business License in the state of West Virginia.

I started my artistic career via various venues. I applied makeup for glamour photo shoots, and prepped and styled wigs and hair for theatrical productions, like: Kiss me Kate, Seussical the Musical, and Grease. Cosmetology was another way for me to be creative and physically help people. I'm content to help others, but I wish to inspire others. Through art and writing, I've been able to express my soul's calling. I maintain my Cosmo license, but painting on canvas and singing my songs is what I love doing. It's what I was born to do."

Below is a poem which JD received an achievement award regarding an Original Painting, as well...Dedicated to all the brave men and women who've risked their lives and/or died in the name of freedom.

"The Soldier" Jadee's Original Oil Painting and Poem, "The Soldier", Sold in 2005, and Dedicated to Fort Carson, USA, where they're currently on display.

Bullets blaze from a rooftop maze

Piles of rubble are far more than subtle...

Knowing each moment may be your last

Grateful that the last one had came and passed.

Darkness take me in the scorch of the sun

Memories forsake me, a new man is born.

I am here for a reason and must do my job...

I will step on with courage, will not blunder or fault.

Desire and reckoning are all that exist

Quicken my step..Drown my fear

Our plateau of victory is certainly near.

My hope<
