My quirky sense of humor inspires my art. I love to laugh, play and create.  When my daughter is in the studio with me my work is light and whimsical.  When it's 2am and I am watching horror films and drinking scotch, things get a bit macabre. 

I like learning, thinking, reading and seeing beauty in everyday life.  My photography is a reflection of the joy of ordinary life; like the way the light hits my window in the morning or the shadows falling on my kitty's face.  I like seeing the magic in every moment. 

My purse always has a sketchpad, my camera and Chap Stick.  I don't think of myself as an artist, if anything I am a creative junkie, on the lookout for my next "fix". I collect the flotsam of life and make it into something new.  I've sold a few pieces over the years.  I love the idea that pieces of my world, something I have created, is out there somewhere on someone's wall.  People walk by those pieces daily and hopefully feel the magic I felt while creating them. I believe that the creation of art and the enjoyment of art is a symbiotic experience.

 I come from a long line of CreativesÂ�, from dressmakers to photographers.  Creating, painting, photography and  sewing is all in my blood.  Being creative is all I have ever wanted to be.
