This little 5"x6"x1-1/2" oil on canvas reflects what I've been doing when not painting... canning tomatoes out of my garden! This still life created itself on the steel table in my kitchen. I just happened to see it when the light was perfect the morning after they were picked. This is a vignette of a reference that I plan to use for a larger canvas and call it "Waiting to be Canned".
