I am a self-taught artist who specializes in two very unique styles of Abstract Art. My free-form artworks are more organic in nature and are achieved through the use of multiple layers of varying translucence, utilizing exotic metallic pigments and micaceous mineral pigments. My representational artworks feature images that appear to be 3-dimensional subjects carved into stone, this striking illusion is achieved through the clever interplay of light and shadow. Because of the unusual nature of both individual processes, every painting is a unique creation unto itself. There will never be two paintings exactly alike.

I feel a real sense of excitement and exhilaration when I begin with nothing more than an idea, some canvas and raw pigments and turn it into something that a perfect stranger wants to possess and display. I choose to paint in abstraction because I love the freedom of expression that it affords me as an artist and, you as the viewer, in your interpretation of the image. The allure of abstract art is that you get the privilege to see and feel whatever you want. I find that every time I view one of my paintings that there is always a brand new, little visual treasure that I have never seen before.  

My permanent endeavour into painting on a full time basis was fairly recent. The reaction to my work has been overwhelmingly positive. I am a juried member of multiple, professional art organizations in both Canada and the United States. My paintings are frequently exhibited, commissioned and collected by both patrons and organizations in Canada, the United States and abroad.
