Artist's notes : This was made in 2003, around when I first started making art for sale. It is a home-made hemp canvas, stretched over a cardboard panel. I didn't know much about "art" back then (and am always still learning) so it is an odd measurement of 3 by 11.5 inches. A custom frame would have to be made if you would like to display it. There were about 5 made, I believe 2 were sold back then, and I'm keeping one for my kids :) so there are currently 2 available for sale. An interesting piece for a collector, as it is one of my very early works, on a canvas I made myself, unique because of the size, and also because I have made several versions of "Mermaid Rising" in my other art, such as ACEO's.
