This is a very free flowing, colorful, exuberant piece. It has a "stream of consciousness" flow to it. It was totally unplanned, no preliminary sketches-just an "of the moment" creation. There's a very modern edge to the painting, no precise details, especially in the fish- and a very free form style that conveys a lot of movement. You can almost feel the seeweed flowing in the current. The colors are bright and "oceany" for lack of a better term! And there are many points of visual interest. I hope you enjoy the piece; I very much enjoyed painting it!
This piece is done on a 24x36 gallery wrap canvas, and is strung and ready to hang. No frame is required, although I have to say that a chunky, gold, museum style frame would look absolutely great.
