This piece was inspired by the cafe scenes done by the Impressionists. I chose lively, warm colors that I hope make you think of a jazzy, smoky cafe resounding with witty conversation. There's a very basic, flat, linear quality to the objects. There's little depth to the piece, the scene is brought very close to the picture plane. The warm orange tones of the background and cobalt blue glass set a nice color anchor for the rest of the pieces. I always get a warm feeling when I look at this painting; it puts me in the mood for good food and good conversation! This piece is done on a 24x24 gallery wrap canvas; is strung and ready to hang. A certificate of authenticity will accompany your puchase. Thanks for looking!
