This painting is my latest offering in the series of smaller works I've been doing. Again, the subject is the very classic bather-however, the style and technique is very contemporary. The figure itself was first done as an underpainting, with subsequent layers applied with a palette knife. The result is very textured and gauze-like. Art lovers with a slightly edgier taste will find this piece a nice addition to their collections. For those who prefer more traditional pieces, I think this still retains a softness and a gentle quality that can be seen in all my work.
