Mrs. VanSickle's creative art is inspired by her mother who was an artist. She died in 1991 from breast cancer. Mrs. VanSickle has been painting since she was able to put a brush in her hand. She feels the urgency to be her own creative soul. "For me, seeing the blank page before me is a wealth of creative opportunity."

Mrs. Vansickle's art commissions have included churches, offices, and personal collectors. Her current exhibits can be seen at Blue Phrogg Gallery in Montevallo, AL, Lakeview Pelham Church, Eyes Eye Center, Highand Community Church, and Klein UMC. She is a member of the Birmingham Fine Art Association.

"This is my chance to do something for myself that I have always wanted to do...be an artist by trade and hobby." Her desire is to create a passionate piece of art that opens the floodgates of emotion.
