It's no accident that the magnificent sunflower has always been a favorite subject for artists. In this vibrant painting, sunflowers twist and bend against a dark gold sky, forming a pattern of organic shapes against a dark background. Artist's Statement: In this somewhat abstract painting, I just let the sunflowers take over. They inspired the rhythm of the brush strokes.
