Art: Garlic by Artist Delilah Smith
The word garlic comes from Old English garleac meaning " spear leek". Egyptains worshipped garlic and placed clay models in their tombs. Folklore holds that garlic repells vampires, protects againts the" Evil Eye", and wards off jealous nymphs said to terrorize prgnant women and engage maidens. I think everyone should have some garlic hanging in their home. This little picture is a great place to start.
