This summer I began to watch birds and pick up feathers... a whole lot of feathers... like hundreds from dozends and dozens of different types of birds. I began to read up on birds and became interested in drawing birds as a result of this kind of rediculous feather thing I started. This led me to the beautiful Dodo bird, which doesn't exist outside of Alice and Wonderland and lovely old reprinted bird books. I knew I wanted to challenge myself to draw this beautiful bird that no longer is here.
