My grandmother lived to 98 and she ate an apple a day, so I'm trying to make this a tradition in our family. I love Gala apples and soon became caught up with the many colors and markings on this one. I also really enjoyed continuing the design of the placemat around the sides of the canvas. The best thing about this kind of canvas is you don't have to have a frame!! I still like linen canvas the best, but I might experiment more with the gallery wrapped canvas.
