Art: Dance of Parvati by Artist Ann Radley

This dancer portrays a royal figure from the epic Mahabharata in a recent Indian Classical dance performance in Portland Oregon. This form of classical dance, Bharatanatyam, can be traced back to the Lord Shiva and his wife/Godess Parvati.  It is also sometimes described as poetry in motion.
