Artist's Profile

The best thing about creating something with my hands is witnessing a piece take shape. I like experimenting with different techniques and materials. As a result, my body of work tends to vary but echoes of my style remain present. I find the challenge of incorporating different techniques into one piece very rewarding. This allows me to satisfy my desire to create through different art forms like drawing, sculpting and metalwork and then combine them into one cohesive piece.

Depending on how you view my work, you might see one style with two aspects or two styles that are occasionally combined into one piece. There's a side of me that likes bold, stylized shapes with clean surfaces. This style tends to show up in both my figurative and modern jewellery. Perhaps it's what gives some of my jewellery a contemporary style. The other style is more intricate and pattern-oriented, and has a warmer feel to it. You could say that it's romantic and it often contains nature motifs and delicate accents that were created using a multiple techniques. All of these things give me a lot to experiment with and leave me wondering where my curiosity will take me next.
