This is the piece I was working on the day my mother died. When all was said and done, I thought it fitting with it symbolic circles and checkerboard paths. Mom was a strong woman with a far reaching circle of friends. Her life paths though seemingly black and white, were in fact winding, wholly encompassing those she loved. And though sometimes difficult, interrupted or cut short. They were a panoramic of her loving nature. When you put all of this together they made up an incredible, beautiful unparalleled journey that continues on it's way beyond the veil of heaven.
