Prospectus: As long as there has been the artist, there has been the artist as subject. Some artists do self-portraiture as study for other work or for lack of another handy model. Others pursue it as an exploration of self. Regardless of the media used, it is always fascinating to see how the artist views herself. "Me, Myself, and I: The Self-Portrait Show" hopes to shed some light on the artist's inner vision; participants should include their motivation as part of their artist statement. |
