Prospectus:
Steampunk. Not the easiest genre to distill into a couple of sentences. The term denotes works inspired by an age when steam power was in use, most frequently the Victorian era. It is the types of machines and technologies created by H. G. Wells and Jules Verne are often found in Steampunk. It is the inventions and ideas of the time idealized and made workable. Often examples of Steampunk take modern technologies and re-imagine them as if they were of that period. Steampunk is science fiction and fantasy and what ifs.
