Prospectus
Self adornment. We love it. We take care to choose just the right sweater and just the right shoes. One of the oldest and most popular types of self decoration is the wearing of jewelry. Some of the most special pieces are individual and created by hand. Handcrafted jewelry is not only an expression of the artist but of the wearer. A beautiful ring or simple pendant can speak to the feelings of the one who made it and how the person who wears it sees them self. It is an often anonymous coming together of personalities that is unique.
This show is for the creation of jewelry. Each piece should contain at least one of each of the following elements - metal, stone and wood. All three must be included for the entry to be eligible for this show.
A statement detailing the materials, process, and what made you choose create what you did is required. It increases understanding of your work and significantly enhances the experience for the viewer. As texture or other small elements may be pivotal to the piece, detail shots are encouraged.
