Summer is here and I'm enjoying more on-site painting again. This piece was just painted (June 2006) at Rasar State Park near Concrete, Washington. It was a beautiful summer afternoon and a lovely day to paint. I chose this spot as I loved the way the shadows played across the path, and how the path was leading to a large sunny grassy field. I hope you enjoy the bright summer greens and cool violets in this piece.
Palette: primarily Hansa Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Green Gold, Burnt Sienna, and Quin. Violet in various tints and combinations. Please view the detail images for best possible color clarity.
Note: variations in color can occur with different monitors and settings. Painting is photographed in natural light.
As with all my paintings, I use Quality artist materials: Daniel Smith acrylics and 100% cotton canvases, gallery wrapped with no staples on sides. All sides of my paintings are painted to allow for hanging with or without a frame.
