When searching for a plein air landscape composition, I look for something interesting in the foreground. As I walked along the Bitterroot River looking for the right spot, I saw this bush with pink flowers and decided that the bit of interest I was looking for. IThe scene was alongside a walking/jogging path, so I got lots of looks and comments as I painted. But that goes with plein air painting.
