This was painted for the EBSQ Springboard Show. Art Inspired by Art. My love for the Southwest Artist Miguel Martinez from Toas New Mexico was the inspiration for the art inspired by art. Other artists that inspired the art of this painting are Mexican artist Rivera and the famous Zuniga for their portrayal of Women and the human emotions. Modigiani's works of powerful and poignant human emotions were another inspiration. My thoughts while painting this piece were expressions of my present emotions. My little jack Russell Terrier "Molly" has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. The face of the woman is mine. The hair is my mothers, The beauty mark on the cheek is my cousin Betty's. I always envied her, thus the color green in the painting. The long wavey fingers belong to my good friend Lee. The large eyes are a rememberance of a Walter Keene painting I bought in 1960. The Abstraction is my own.
