I chose to depict Iago because I find him to be one of Shakespeare's most interesting and exotic characters. In the tragic play Othello, "Honest" Iago, through some carefully thought-out words and actions, is able to manipulate others to do things in a way that benefits him and moves him closer toward his goals.
Iago feeds the green-eyed monster that lives within Othello, while ironically warning him about jealousy. One of Shakespeare's most morally challenged villains, Iago has hatched a plot to remove Cassio as Othello's second in command, as he seeks this position for himself. He has maneuvered a fight between Cassio and Roderigo, causing Othello to discharge Cassio immediately. Not satisfied with this, Iago arranges to have Othello's wife, Desdemona, plead Cassio's cause to her husband, and then suggests to Othello that Desdemona does so because she is having an affair with Cassio. The result of this jealousy will be tragic for everyone involved.
"O, beware, my lord of jealousy;
It is the green-ey'd monster which doth mock
The meat it feeds on."
--From Othello (III, iii, 165-167)
The green eyed-monster has in fact devoured Iago.
His skull is a brilliant yellow depicting his ability to hatch ingenious plots while his face is chameleon like in its ability to change colors.
