This is a preliminary drawing I did for a painting I was working on. I used the profile of a gentleman friend who is actually swedish, I was quite surprised by how much you could alter ethnicity by adding things like a beard (and a turban). Though the profile is accurate they look nothing alike. My character that I was developing was that of an Arabian man for a belly dancing scene. The painting was several years till completion due to many distractions. This face was the first aspect of the piece that came to me, and much of the end result grew from this image. The final piece called 'The Nightingale' is avail for viewing in my portfolio.
