The Furies, in Greek Erinyes, or euphemistically Eumenides, were avenging spirits of retributive justice. Their task was to punish crimes not within the reach of human justice. Great layers of color and texture convey energy and swift movement. Red, rose and magenta artist quality oil paints were applied with a palette knife over a green and blue wash. The red and rose colors were used because the Furies were female. I imagine them moving rapidly towards the offender.
Painting continues on the sides. Ready to hang.
