This artquilt was done as an homage to my new granddaughter, Sarah Catherine, born June 11, 2005. It is adapted from "cartooned" photos. The pieces are cut and fused individually onto muslin, then heavily zigzag stitched to create the cartoon lines. The faces & body parts are all brushed with pastels to give a light, blush effect. This is a memory quilt for the new mother and one I am very proud of, featuring Sarah sleeping with Dad, being kissed by Mom, and wondering who her big sister is.
