This artquilt was adapted from a watercolor painting I did of the orchids on my windowsill. They had 25 blooms at one time. I love the surreal quality it seems to have. The background fabric is handpainted. The "age" on the clay pots is painted with watercolor, as is the shadow of the pots on the ground. The pieces were all zigzag stitched down and the piece was then quilted.
