This is Connie Black's lovely black and white cat, Star Baby, painted especially for the EBSQ 2005 Pet Portrait Swap. Connie said this kitty is quite the queen, so I paired her in this asian style painting with some regal orchids, done in royal purple. The calligraphy upper right means "empress", signed in my name characters lower left, and my red chinese seal to the right of Star Baby means "cat spirit".
