I feel very privileged to rip off Joe Zona's heartwarming original, "Summer's End". His beautifully rendered painting "reminds us of the importance of carrying your dreams along with you through life."
In my rendition, I portray a young boy during the waning days of winter, tugging his friend, the snowman, behind him with the naive, albeit, optimistic hope that he will last forever.
I think that working with someone else's basic premise, ties you to the creative process of the other artist in a way that gives you a greater appreciation for his/her work.
