This original assemblage is the latest in the series "Life's Ironies"
by modern visual artist Frank Conde.
Imagine working all week plus saturday and waiting for
your only day off to engage in your favorite pass-time
but on the main voyage of your patiently crafted vessel,
a big wind grabs a hold handing it over to the tallest tree
while laughing as you just "give up" completely defeated.
The main figure is hand sculptured from polymer clay,
hand colored using water base inks, the hair is a snip
from the artist's real hair, the wood, tree and rock are
a gift from the ocean found by the shore, the kite was
created using vellum paper, string & wood (all recycled).
