This piece is of a local landscape manipulated into a alien scene using Photoshop's 'tint' and 'posterise' techniques. Living rather too close for comfort to the nuclear power stations at Chapelcross (being decommissioned at present but still a threat!) and Sellafield, it struck me that the beauty I see around me daily could change rapidly into an alien scene such as this! Inspired, but not heartened, by this thought I created this eerie scene of a possible post-nuclear Solway Firth.
