This is my entry for the FOTM show. I had so much fun doing this piece specially for the show, a welcome challenge. As you know I love japanese art and the chrysanthemum is the most painted flower by japanese designers and artists. In fact they were so taken with the chrysanthemum that it became the official seal and crest of their emperors. The Festival of Happiness celebrated in Japan to this day is National Chrysanthemum Day. With my gothic garden series I hope to create a monthly piece which coincides with the EBSQ FOTM show. I look forward to our next challenge!
