Here is my Pet Swap piece for Jen Thario and her three dogs... I wanted to do something very bright, almost abstract in its colors, and on nontraditional media. So I chose this painted tray to work on (it can lay flat on a table or be hung on the wall) and deep bright colors of purple, orange and aqua. I painted the edges with a lime green, accented with black and white dots, then painted over it with the same aqua as the sides, then rubbing the edge so the lime green shows through a little. Unfortunately, the photos don't capture the colors very well.
