I LOVE chickens!!

I have no idea why but when I think of chicken's I get a feeling of goofiness. They just seem like a fun bird.

Here I took the "Spring Chicken" saying and had some fun with it. A bunch of chickens having a good time bouncing on springs. Even a chick found his way into the fun!

This picture is odd for me because I typically avoid color work. I used Dr. Ph. Martin Dye and Prisma Color Pencils to accent the piece. The springs are done with metallic silver ink.

The scan doesn't show it well at all, but where the words "Boing" appear I took an xacto knife and carved into the india ink and paper to give the words a look of, what else? Chicken Scratches :)
