One of my first non digital paintings. Adding it to show was an afterthought, at the suggestion of a few other artists. My message about Suburbia in this piece is of the sterility and blandness that progress can bring. I am hoping my portrayal, a mostly one dimensional group of houses in the background reflects this. The foreground characters have no meaning except, to represent the color present elsewhere...outside suburbia.....perhaps in a tree.
