This painting is another piece in my "Three Sisters" series, derived from studies and photographs. More graphic than the preceding paintings, it was executed with multiple layers of glaze and wash. I arose at dawn in late December and went outside to photograph and sketch the sun rising as it kissed the branches good morning. I hope you like it.
