This is Pancakes, a very sweet and loved pet by Vicky Knowles. With a delicious names like hers, I had to somehow incorporate it in her portrait. I chose to paint from this photo because Vicky tells me Pancakes likes to jump on her lap and study her face then follows it with a lick on Vicky's face. I think that's an absolute gesture of love!
