I was puzzled by the term "Muscari" and when I looked it up I was so pleased because it is one of my favorite spring flowers. I look forward to them peeking their tiny heads above the ground and see them often covered with snow. The Bumble bee is also one of the heralds of spring around here and you can enjoy them without fear as they are always a little "drunk" at this time of year and need to get out of their way as they can't seem to navigate very well. I completed this work expressly for the muscari show. I began it at the end of March and just finished it although it still needs months of drying time. This was quite an accomplishment for me because it usually takes me forever to pronounce an oil painting done. I can't guarantee that I won't go back and make embellishments - as far as I'm concerned unless its varnished, its still a work in progress.
