I started this line of necklaces after a few people told me they couldn't afford to buy my larger pieces of art, but they liked the imagery in my paintings. Instead of making straight prints for framing, I thought I would try taking little pieces of my larger works and incorporating them into mini paintings that can be worn.

These necklaces start with a 1 1/5" wooden disc. A small detail print of one of my original paintings is secured onto the primed disc, enhanced with Derwent Inktense colored pencils and finished with Golden polymer varnish for colorfastness and moisture resistance. The backs of the discs are painted using acrylic pigments or paint, then they are added to cord, chains, wire, or my handmade necklaces. Each one is different, and each one has it's own story. And each is instilled with a little bit of magic.

Out of all of them, this is probably the most simple, but I like it the best. The pendant is outlined with metal leaf. I added a broken earring which I attached beads to and a bird charm. I hooked it onto a vintage wire choker and voila!
