First let me say I did not paint this piece because of my political preferences, but simply because Obama's face appealed to me as a good piece for a Whimzical (tm). I liked the strength of his features and looked at literally hundreds of photos before I finally designed and drew this piece. I felt it would work well for the style of art I have created for myself that I call "Whimzicals"(tm). It is made up of bits and pieces of many photos from the internet. Since I don't paint reality very often, I rely on shapes. I referenced many, many photos of Obama to finish this piece. It is a Watercolor Painting. The size is 11" x 14". I have always had a love for watercolor, the blending and flowing of the color, design, and shapes interests me.
