Vintage Game Piece Necklace and Earrings

This necklace was created with vintage game pieces.

Green Bakelite die, wood Bingo calling number, Clue Wrench, Monopoly Thimble, wooden green house and red hotel, bowling pin die. The earring are a Monopoly shoe and Scottie dog. The round wood spacer beads are from a broken vintage necklace. All the necklace pieces are strung on a leather cord.

I collect all kinds of game pieces for my jewelry creations and mixed media work.

I love to give things that might have been thrown away a new life and this is one cute and fun necklace! I played games throughout my childhood and this is a very nostalgic piece for me.

As our society focuses more on sustainable living and living lightly on the planet I hope more people will be inspired to take ordinary items and create fun and extraordinary things. This type of recycling is an especially good way for parents and children to work together and expand their creativity.
