Original ACEO by Hiroko Reaney. The god of the blue water lily was called Nefertem and he brought a blosson to the sun god Ra, to help ease the suffering of his aging body. The perfume was not only pleasing, but healing as well. Some people believe that the Egyptians used this plant as a narcotic for it's healing qualities and as a recreational drug for rituals. Though there is no scientific evidence to prove this, the white and yellow water lilies due both contain tannin and mucilage, which has been used to stop upset stomachs and soothe sore throats.

I added a Japanese Yamabuki Ogon Koi Mermaid because I love fantasy art and wanted something that complimented the serene beauty of the lilies.
