This was a Fun Calendar to make for me, looking at the Greek Calendars, I originally wanted to do the Zodiac Calendar, but alot of work involved, so I started thinking smaller scale, as you can see in the steps below, the two day creation of this whymsical calendar. it is a 12 month calendar counted by the days of the week by moving the pendulum attached to the eye of the moon, which is made with two earring wires from my jewelry case, and then I used some metallic beads and a crystal bezel to dazel and twisted the wire around the tip, it moves from day to day, in this case it is the second Saturday of the Month of January, so each day you move it one day ahead, plus it makes and interesting art piece...and living in Arizona, you can usually step out your front door and find natural stones such as turqoise which is also added in the piece with other natural stones, this was a challenge, I did not want to make just a regular Calendar, although I collect many, I really wanted something Mythical and Mosaic, and functional.....I enjoyed making this for this show.
