This is an altered art doll created by starting with a paper mache dress form. I used this piece to express my feelings about my current state:"Empty Nest" since my son recently left for college. If you will notice, the "nest" built into the dress form contains several symbolic items. This doll was made in response to the strong feelings a mother feels when a child leaves the "nest" home.
