This is a very large painting, and the detail photos can give you a better feel for it. The path leads the viewer to the horse and rider, which are done in detail. I emphasized the texture and the warm colors. The colors symbolize warmth and joy. The sand is like the struggle we face to get to the good stuff.

This painting is also far reaching. Emotionally we all have things that need healing. Sometimes a sunrise or a sunset, a cup of coffee with a friend, or a moment of silence can touch us deeper than anything else at that time.
