This is an original Folk Art ACEO by Tammy Fleetwood Moody. It is 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and painted with acrylics and prisma color on acid free artist's black card stick. I developed my love for Cardinals when I was a young girl. My Mom was was an avid birdwatcher and I would help her fill the feeders in the winter and our favorites were the cardinals. Now, my nine year old daughter and I feed the birds together and our favorite is still the Cardinal. I chose to paint a close up portrait because I wanted people to the other beautiful features aside from the more obvious red and black color. I was always mesmerized by how perfect their markings were, but wanted to capture their gentle nature.
