Media:  polystyrene and paint
Dimensions:  24" by 14" by 6"
Date of Work:  2007

Polystyrene is better known by its trade name stryrofoam. My art is made out of the stuff they use for packaging around TVs, electronics, etc. The best thing about using styrofoan in art is that it keeps it out of landfills. Thats the main reason I started experimenting with the medium. Hanging this is easy because it is so light. There is no need to use anchor bolts, a nail will do.

This piece like my other wall hangings can hang in any direction. I have used the circle and straight line to make the inside visually interesting as well as for contrast. When viewed straight on the contrasting lines give it a 2D feeling, but it sticks out from the wall 6 inches. To learn more about this medium visit my profile.
