I am Master... fear me!

Media:  Assemblage
Dimensions:  24" x 24"
Date of Work:  March 2007

By day, I am a mild-mannered Director of Information Technology. Over the course of several months, I generally wind up with a crate or two of spare parts (not counting whole systems). Rather than take them to the landfill, I decided to express how I feel about being a mild-mannered Director of Information Technology.

This piece has a little bit of everything: a NIC card, a modem, some ancient coaxial cable, RAM chips, mouse, microphone, keys from a keyboard, front of a switchbox. My favorite bit is the system board / master / slave cable. Then I pulled out a pile of CDs that are so ancient I'm not even sure they'll run on XP. Laid it all down on a piece of plywood painted black; it's all held in place with some nice silicon glue.

The finishing touch was a couple of headlines from one of my industry magazines. "Get Ready For Windows Vista" I'm ready! I'm changing careers!
