Il Bacio a tribute to F. Hayez

- by Loredana Mariotto

This week's theme: Be Mine

Valentine's Day is this Saturday. Thanks to Middle Ages and courtly love, this date has long been the day of declarations of love and lovers. More recently, it has become not just a day for those in love but a day when we let all of those we care about know just how much they mean to us. It doesn't matter whether you choose to bestow flowers and chocolates, a card and a kiss or a just few simple words. It's feelings you express that are the true gift.

This is a Print from my Original ACEO paint "Il Bacio" a tribute to Francesco Hayez - The Kiss – Il bacio is and oil on canvas made by the italian painter Francesco Hayez in the 1859. Actually it’s showed in Milano - Italy at the Brera’s Pinacoteque. In this paint Hayez joins all the main features of the Italian romanticism. The true sensual love is showed here in the plastic movements of the two lovers, also the patriotism is a characteristic that we can find in this paint. It is printed on EPSON Matte Heavyweight paper. I use Epson Durabrite Inks, this kind of prints have a very high quality made to last over 100 years with the same beautiful brightness. The size of the print is 4 x 6 inches with a little white border for an easy framing and it is signed and dated on the back side. It is delivered in a protective plastic sleeve, and between two card boards. .•:*¨¨*:•. € .•:*¨¨*:•. € .•:*¨¨*:•.
